Dear Readers,
Well, this is my third attempt at blogging. Let's see how well I do. I am committing to creating one blog post a week, on Saturday. (I understand that today is not Saturday, but since this blog is already published I figured I would get it in gear and give you at least one thing to read).
As I knit quite a lot, I will be posting things of that nature. Mostly, my projects that I have going. Since it is almost August, I have begun Christmas knitting. For those non-knitters out there, I understand that this might be a bit early. Never fear. I know what I'm doing. The early knitter gets a peaceful December, as I like to say.
Here is a bit of what I've been working on lately:
The Marjamets Shawl by Kadri's Stitches. So worth the 3.5 months it took to make this. As you can see above, the shawl has been blocked. it is simply gorgeous, and more pictures of the lacy wonder will come shortly. I hope to take pictures of the shawl on the recipient.

Next is the Toe Up Socks for All pattern by Sivia Harding. I'll be using a lot of that particular pattern because I've decided to knit Christmas Socks. These particular socks are made out of Blue Moon Fire on the mountain Socks that Rock, and they were for my brother who is currently in the Eternal City. Bonus Points if you know what city that is. EXTRA bonus points if you know why he will be spending 6 years there. Hint: He won't have a chance to wear much color. Hence, the colorful socks.
I understand. "But there's only one," you say. Fear not, the other one was, in fact, sent along as well. I have another picture around here somewhere......
Ah. There it is. Of course, you can't see the socks completely finished, but they are. And off with my Bro.
See you Saturday!
Julia
