At this point I don't know if I'll finish the Christmas socks AND finish the sweater I need to work on. I just finished the sock you see below. And yes. It IS a sock. Not a stocking. No, really, this sock will fit a human being.
So far, I just have the other sock to knit, and then I move on to Stephen's socks. Because the ones I knit him originally will DEFINTILY not fit, if he's the same size as the Giant's foot above. I have no idea if the yarn will be enough, as Peter's yarn was DEFINITLY not enough. That's why the stripes. (otherwise I would have simply done red socks). So, buy more yarn, use different yarn, or not even make Stephen socks and make him a hat instead? I'm sorta leaning towards the hat idea. What do you think?
I'm hoping I can finish the socks all by the end of next week, preferably before Thanksgiving. That way, I can send off the long-distance items, and I can start working on the Shire Aran again. Boy, it'll be nice not to have to make several projects and try and bust through them. I think I'll be able to take a little more time on the sweater. Not that I will have a choice. The cables will probably slow me down considerably, and they're all over the place. (groan)
Oh wait! I haven't showed you the new socks, have I? I finished my mother's socks as well. How do they look?

Ciao for now.
