Dear Readers,
Man, is it HARD keeping up knitting and reading and listening to podcasts when you're tired from the day's work! Well, I guess it's the adult way of life. I'll just have to embrace it. But I confess I didn't get too much done this week. OK, sure, I DID turn the heel on my Dad's socks, but that was a LONG process, let me tell you. Part of it was because of all the stitches. When I was turning it, the sock BARELY fit on the needles. I got circs, so now it's easier, and the ankle is going by fast, though I still want to get it done because this is the FIRST. SOCK. Hoo boy. Luckily, this will likely be the biggest sock (after Becca's rediculous knee-highs).

As such, I didn't get too much work done on the Shire Pullover, either.
But, I DID just whip out a quick and easy little cat toy.
It's fall, and Baron deserves something nice. PLUS, he was going to chew right through his little bag of catnip that he found, so I figured I'd just put the stuff in a little pumpkin. He loves and and rolls it around and chomps on it and rubs it alloverhisface. I wish I could get pics of that, but he's too fast, and the fancy-schmancy camera is in the classroom, since I plan on using it for classroom pics. (I have no idea where the ACTUAL classroom camera is, but this one is nice, and it's good for parents to know that their kids are having fun here. Problem? I have no time to take pics. So, I'm calling in a parent to help out. Once a week, tops. :D And she can get in her volunteer hours. (For those who don't know, private schools often require families to get in volunteer hours at their school, be it in the classroom or for fundraisers, because, well, private schools have LOADS of money to try and make so we can all survive. And we need manpower. And school moms are so pumped for it, it's just amazing). Hopefully I'll not be slacking off again. This weekend is a special Birthday tea for me and a friend, and next weekend I'll be in Portland! Hope to send you pictures! Ciao for now, Cimorine |
