Dear Readers,
So, I decided to re-make my brother's socks. I had previously measured his feet (incorrectly, as it turned out) and made socks accordingly, but now I have to use the younger brother's measurements to form new socks. Or rather.... slippers. I'm not going to do more socks, mostly because I don't have enough yarn to make his socks from one skein. I don't want to risk it. So I'm making slippers instead. And I hope they work out, because I have no way to try them on him. And as it turns out, I have to lay the slippers aside (I finished the first tonight, but not the second) and wait until I can try them on Peter (younger brother) to ensure they fit Stephen. The reason why I can't try them on Stephen is because he's in Rome. So, sorta impossible.

Speaking of Peter, I finished his socks! I weaved in most of the ends of the other socks as well, though I need to weave in one more for Peter's socks. Tonight I also cast on Teresa's Gloves. My only sister who refused the sock idea (her loss, it's going to be a freezing winter), but asked for gloves instead. We pattern-searched, and she's super excited about them (which is a plus, really). It's a lovely pattern with cables and ribbing, here. This is the yarn.
Finally, not that I post all that regularly, but I will not be posting next Saturday, due to Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a successful Thanksgiving weekend, and stays safe during Black Friday, whatever that means for you. For me, it means going to a small town, where it doesn't matter if everyone is out and about, because "everyone" means about 100 people, tops. For other people, it might mean being patient, though I encourage lack of participation in Black Friday, no matter the deals. Besides, Cyber Monday is a real thing and why wouldn't we just do that instead? The only plus to buying in stores these days is convenience. (how fast you can get it). But Amazon is always cheaper. almost guaranteed. And paying for shipping is far more worth it than bruises and heated tempers, don't you think?
Happy Thanksgiving!
